As I mentioned previously, I will be taking a sabbatical from creating web comics in favor of working on bigger projects, not the least of which is Zane Robertson's upcoming game, Lucid Fate: Poems Between Worlds. That is, unless he decides to Billy Corgan the whole project and leave me with nothing to do...but even then, I have my own projects to take care of.
Honestly, I didn't choose the web comics life - to coin a meme, that life chose me. I remember a friend in high school suggesting that I get into that area of content creation...this was back in the Dominic Deegan era and I wasn't impressed with what people were putting up on the interwebs, but years later I joined a Tumblr community that specialized in creating weekly themed comics based on prompts, and I did it to keep my artistic creativity active. Even after said community went on hiatus, I decided to keep going with the weekly thing, but eventually I just ran out of ideas, got jaded, and felt too much pressure to meet deadlines for a side project that gained less attention than pretentious, badly-drawn crap like Robot Hugs or Assigned Male (I apologize if you like those comics, but I don't). That's not to say I won't do some strips every now and then, and one day I'll have a slew of new adventures for Chocolate the Cat, Remy the SJW, and those two gamer guys, among other things.
I also want to take some time to work on my traditional art, particularly getting my portfolio ready for potential local galleries. I might also be taking commissions once I hammer out the details on cost and criteria. Until then, I'll be around...
